Reassurance Legislation National Form A & Bedfordshire Police manages its information in accordance with a number of pieces of legislation, Management of Police Information (MOPI) and the National Intelligence Model (NIM). The rules around storing, managing, sharing and security of this information are strict and compelling. In Bedfordshire the Central Intelligence Bureau is responsible for the Forces Intelligence and complies with both MOPI and NIM. The collection and recording of Intelligence is via a National Form A. It identifies the information, (Form A) and the source of that information, (ISR). Security Sources & Contact The ISR is a secure document and is accessible to a restricted group of officers who are familiar with security concepts and the disclosure of any information within that ISR. The latter is strictly controlled and is never disseminated to anyone. You will need to identify the source of the information as in most cases the person contacting the Police is a third party. You will be asked for that detail. This is so we can consider going back to the source if necessary. THIS WOULD BE DONE VIA THE CONTACT PERSON NOT DIRECTLY TO THE SOURCE.
