Experience: Experienced Position Summary: The Financial Advisor is responsible for building a client base within the community and providing sound and collaborative financial guidance to their clients. The advisor will be supported by extensive training and technology, strong local leadership, a solid product portfolio, compelling marketing tools, and cohesive programming for engaging and educating clients. The advisor will use the tools and technology provided by NestWise to help clients understand and manage their financial portfolios. The advisor must be able to attract and retain clients by identifying the appropriate solutions for each client’s specific financial situation and goals and being comfortable and relatable when interacting with clients. This role demands equal enjoyment of working with and helping people obtain their dreams as well as analyzing data and arriving at well-reasoned conclusions. Finally, the advisor must be ambitious and driven, juggling multiple priorities and strong emotional intelligence to assist in throwing off discouragement along the path of building his/her business. Essential functions: • Acquire and maintain a client base by leveraging corporate marketing vehicles, establishing a dependable presence in the local community, leveraging personal and social networks, providing outstanding client service, and asking for referrals. • Develop rapport and trust with prospective clients to enable sharing of information; assist them in making effective decisions during times of competing emotions by maintaining confidence in his or her recommendations. • Monitor key metrics to meet goals both in clients’ portfolios and in own practice. • Keep informed of financial planning concepts, investment products and market developments and effectively apply knowledge to client situations. Additional duties: • Prepare thoroughly for each prospect and client meeting and follow-up in a timely manner. • Successfully manage details of running a small business • Ask questions and gather personal and financial information from prospective clients to understand their situation as it relates to managing their money, including balancing their budget and building their savings, and the short and long term goals that are most important to them. • Discuss future investment outlook with clients and determine their risk tolerance and complete financial situation • Provide complete information to clients regarding current financial planning trends, market forecast, and past performance when considering buying managed portfolio • Suggest strategies that the clients can use in achieving their financial goals and objectives; answer clients’ investment-related questions and help them weigh options. • Know and share information about a managed portfolio and the financial products available. Explain financial advice and annual fees to clients verbally as well as provide them written documents for future reference. • Regularly review clients’ financial plans and update it based on changing life circumstances that necessitate updating the plan and providing relevant advice.e.g. new job, birth, promotion, pay raise, bonus, death, and unemployment etc… • Participate in NestWise training and meetings; receive coaching in an open and positive manner; report regularly to the Vice President of Advisor Development on activity, accomplishments, metrics, and challenges.
