Students will be able to use inductive and deductive reasoning, understand geometric relationship in diagrams, and write
proofs of geometric relationships.

 I can represent real world situations using geometric
figures
 I can use symbolic notation and truth tables
 I can prove geometric theorems.
 I can use postulates involving point, lines, and planes.
 I can use algebraic properties in logical arguments.
 I can write proofs using geometric theorems such as
Congruence of Segments, and Congruence of
Angles.
 I can use properties of special pairs of angles such as
Right Angle Congruence, Congruent
Supplements, Congruent Complements, Linear
Pair Postulate, and Vertical Angles Congruence.
Students can recall specific vocabulary terms:
Conjecture, inductive reasoning, counterexample,
conditional statement, if-then form, negation, equivalent
statements, perpendicular lines, biconditional statement,
deductive reasoning, proof, two-column proof, theorem
 I can recall specified vocabulary terms.
 I can describe patterns and use inductive reasoning
 I can write definitions as conditional statements
 I can use deductive reasoning to form a logical
argument using the Law of Detachment, the Law
of Syllogism.
Students can name figures, use notation, solve equations, and
