In coming days, possibility of increase in day and night temperature, decrease in relative humidity, cloudy weather with no rains in coming days. Save water for future use and unnecessarily do not irrigate the crops without any requirement. Store the produce after proper drying in open sunshine at threshing floor till the moisture content of grain reduce up to 10 % and then store in properly cleaned and dried gunny bags or drums. Start pruning operation in Ber and it should be completed by end of May. It is most essential operation in Ber as flowering and fruiting takes place only on the new growth/branches. Take care in picking cucurbits. Changes in colour of fruit, drying of stalk near fruit, thumping sound etc are important symptoms of ripening of fruits. Do not pick up fruits just after (12-24 hours) after irrigation. Avoid plucking of unripe fruits. Take care of domestic animals, keep them in shades during peak noon time and make arrangement for plenty of drinking water. Infection like TPR and Pox in sheep and goats and FMD in cattle may occur due to present weather conditions, therefore, consult veterinarian for proper vaccination of livestock. In these days, shortage of green fodder for the domestic animals is prevailing in dry areas. Therefore, to overcome this problem, prepare and fed protein rich high nutritive urea – molasses bricks as per the guidance of registered veterinarian. Adopt proper measures for prevention from mastitis, worms and ticks & mites in milch animals.
