pictures given to them using the correct comparison adjectives.
This lesson was rather challenging. The students had diverse needs,
Post lesson notes
two of the students had pre-intermediate vocabulary and grammar
while others lacked any kind of foundation in English. I made sure all
the students participated in every activity presented. I believe more
flexible activities would have helped with the disparate level of
students and kept them more engaged. Overall, the class went rather
well. All the students understood the idea of the lesson presented to
them, some better than others. By the end of this one hour class all
the students were able to create sentences of their own with various
degrees of help needed.

Notes
Rahma is a very enthusiastic student. She was of a
higher level than the rest of the students. She knew
all the answers to the questions with no trouble.
Shahd shows excellent potential in learning English.
She participated in all the activities willingly and
was not afraid to make mistakes. She understood
the concept really well and was able to create
sentences on her own creatively.
Abdullah had no foundation in the English
language. He could barely read the words presented
but he understood the idea of comparing adjectives
and with very intense help he was able to create
sentences on his own and say them out loud. I was
surprised how well he understood dividing syllables
and did most of them right after depending on me to
help him read the words.
Khaled

Rana
Beginner
Khaled was a very positive, joyful student. He
understood the lesson well and was able to
successfully complete the tasks with some help. His
reading was very good but needs to work on his
language skills.
Rana was rather shy and was between levels. Her
language skills were rather good for her level but
needs to work on her reading and pronunciation
skills. Rana completed all the tasks with limited
help. She had trouble reading her sentences out loud
to the students but with a little push she did. She
also seemed a little bothered when making
mistakes but loosened up by the second half of the
class.
