REPORT ON ONE DAY ORIENTED PROGRAMME FOR SCIENCE TEACHERS OF KVS
JAMMU REGION(NCSC-2015)
Sept-12: 23RD National Children’s Science Congress Oreintation Programme for
guide teachers was organized today by KVS Jammu Region at Kendrya Vidyalaya
Sunjuwan jammu .
The main theme of the 23rd NCSC -2015 was “Understanding the weather and
Climate change”. Almost around sixty science teachers from different Kendriya
Vidyalayas of KVS Jammu Region participated in the program .Program
coordinator Mrs Kusum Malhotra discussed the sub themes of 23rd NCSC
Orientation program briefly viz understanding the weather around, impact of
human activities on weather and climate ,weather climate and ecosystem, and
weather climate and health . The chief guest Shri D R MEENA (ASSISTANT
COMMISIONER KVS JAMMU REGION) in his address laid emphasis on the
sustainable development and the need to understand the climate changes for the
sustainable life.His excellency also discussed the various causes of the drastic
climatic changes and the possible solutions of them to make the earth a better
place for living. He also pointed that not only from the scientific side but almost
all religions of world also guide us and demand to preserve the nature for better
survival.
Finally Mr Manish Tuli (Venue Principal ) also addressed the participants and
discussed on the vital role of teachers in preventing the nature .
Programme ended around 5:00 pm with the vote of thanks by Smt Shakuntulla
Kotwal .
