ADVERTISEMENT NOTICE
Applications are invited from the students belonging to the minority communities,
notified by the Central Government, pursuing technical or professional courses at under
graduate/post graduate level in Institution recognized by an appropriate authority for
Merit cum Means based scholarship for the year 2008-09 to be awarded by the Ministry
of Minority Affairs, Government of India.
Eligibility : 50% marks at Higher Secondary / Graduation level. Students who get
admission to a college to pursue technical / professional courses, on the basis of a
competitive examination will be eligible for the scholarship.
How to Apply : Applications in the prescribed format along with requisite documents
should be submitted to the concerned Director, Social Welfare Department of the
concerned Division.
Last Date : Last date for submission of completed applications form is 31.08.08

and technical and vocational/ courses of Industrial, Training Institute / Industrial Training
Centres (affiliated with NCVT) in Institution recognized by an appropriate authority for
Merit cum Means based scholarship for the year 2008-09 to be awarded by the Ministry
of Minority Affairs, Government of India.
Eligibility : 50% marks at previous final examination.
How to Apply : Applications in the prescribed format along with requisite documents
should be submitted to the concerned District, Social Welfare Officer of the concerned
Division.
Last Date : Last date for submission of completed applications form is 31.08.08

SCHEME OF PRE-METRIC SCHOLARSHIP FOR STUDENTS BELONGING
TO MINORITY COMMUNITIES
Applications as per the prescribed format are invited from the students belonging to the
minority communities notified by the Central Government, pursuing education from class
1 to class X , in Government Schools / Institutes or Private Schools / Institutes recognized
by appropriate authority for pre-metric scholarship to be awarded by the Ministry of
Minority Affairs, Government of India.
Rate of Scholarship : Actual financial assistance will be provided for admission/tuition
fee and maintenance allowance.
How to Apply : Applications completed in all respects should reach office of Director
Social Welfare, Jammu through the Head of School / Institute being attended or last
attended by student..
Last Date : Last date for submission of completed applications form is 15.02.09.
