7. Feedback from previous events
a)
End of year party
i)This event was well received. It was an enjoyable evening and we had good
weather. Some feedback suggested this event and the summer Fayre are held
too closely together. To be discussed in AOB.
b)
Cake sale/Second hand uniform sale held last week
i) This was the fastest cake sale the Committee have ever experienced. CD
suggested that more cake sales are planned this year. All agreed that the second
hand uniform sale works well with this event.

8. Upcoming Events
a)
School Disco - 16th October
This event is cancelled as the disco provider has double booked.
b)
A Family Event “Strictly Holy Trinity”. Possibly 22nd October
Two HT pupils attend a local Dance School, and they have kindly offered their
time to teach a ballroom dance to raise money for the roof. A possible date of
Thursday 22nd October was suggested if all parties were available. The
timings suggested is 4.30 – 6pm, costing £2 per person. The HTSA could sell
refreshments. TW to check date is ok. If 22nd is not acceptable then possibly
hold on the 15th October.

a)
100 Club
CD asks unless there is anyone who would like to take on the 100 club then it is
cancelled.
b)
Donation box in Asda
CD to ask SA for an update
c)
Blue bags
CD to check with KA to sort date
d)
Support 2016 Half Marathon (March)
To be discussed at next meeting.
e)
Cake sale
If the Strictly Holy Trinity event is on the 22nd October then CD suggested a
Cake sale afterschool on 15th October.
TW suggested a 3 cake sales could be held each term. Each sale could be led by
a different area of the school each time. For example Lower, Middle and Upper
school. All agreed this could start from January 2016. Details to be discussed
at next meeting.

f)
Junior Governor event
TW has spoken with the Junior Governors and they would like to run an
Enterprise day during the school day. More details to follow at the next
meeting.
g)
Beetle Drive
As the Junior Governors would like to have an Enterprise Day the HTSA
suggested running a Beetle Drive. After discussion all agreed that the last
Beetle Drive in the evening was more successful than one straight after school.
Details to be discussed at next meeting.
h)
Friday 26th February 2016 Disco
JJ & JK-P to ask local disco providers (CRB checked) for quotes to use in the
future. Details to be discussed at next meeting.
i)
Easter Bingo
KA offered to lead the event. Friday 18th March was suggested and to be
confirmed. Details to be discussed at next meeting.
j)
Spring Fete
Feedback suggested that the Summer Fayre is held too close to the End of Year
event. After discussion the HTSA proposed having a Spring Fete instead. A
date of Friday 20th May was suggested. Details to be discussed at next
meeting.
k)
TW suggested a “Growing your talents” event.
It was suggested that Children who apply would have from Easter to the Spring
Fete to hopefully raise money. Details to be discussed at next meeting.
l)
End of year event
Date suggested is Friday 15th July
m)
Recycling dustbin.
CD to speak to VM to check what current arrangements are

n)
School Roof fundraising
As discussed at previous meetings the School has asked if any families would
like to help fundraise for the new roof. It has been agreed that all events are
arranged to compliment planned HTSA and school events. A representative from
the teaching staff, a Governor and a Committee member are asked to review
each idea to check it complies with the school ethos, H&S/insurance
requirements etc. Some ideas are as follows:
a. A Parent has offered to organise a tea towel for Mothers’ Day. The
idea has been approved by the school. Details to be discussed at next
meeting.
b. A Parent has offered to arrange a Music magpie collection of DVDs
and CDs. CD to speak to KA ref previous music magpie HT account.
c. A Parent has arranged a Choir concert at Holy Trinity Church on the
11th December.
d. A Parent has offered to arrange a “Skipathon”.
Date TBC.
Sponsorship forms to be sent out at half term. The rules suggested
are 4 children in a team, sponsorship from home, fancy option, prizes.
This event would take part during the school day.
e. Family quiz night. Proposed date of Friday 29th April. Another parent
has offered her services to cook a curry. A discussion took place as
to whether to link the Quiz night with a Curry night.
f. A Parent has offered to host a Tropic pamper evening. TW to get
more detail.
o)
Sponsored walk
TW agreed that there would be another Sponsored Walk in June. Date TBC.
p)
Help with the Labyrinth
Please contact TW if you are able to help.
q)
Christmas Bazaar
Unfortunately KB was unable to attend this meeting. So no details are available
as yet.
r)
Sports Day Drinks money
TW asked the whereabouts of the money raised from the sports day drinks sale.
TW to speak with Laura Claridge.
s)
Second hand uniform
CP suggested that second hand uniform sale could be incorporated in June 2016
to new intake families.

The next meeting will be held on Monday 12th October at 7pm, in TW’s office.
