Kappa Delta Rho, an new fraternity wants to join the Towson University community
o Kappa Delta Rho: “Honor Super Omnia” means Honor above all things
They have had 7 recent colorizations since 2011
o There are currently four current Kappa Delta Rho colonies
Why did Kappa Delta Rho choose Towson?
o They have a very strategic formula in order to choose a school to start a colony at
 They look at the school size
 The size of the Greek community
 Alumni in the surrounding area
 Campus and Greek GPA average
o Towson University scored very high on their list
Alumni and staff support are very important to the Kappa Delta Rho Fraternity
o There are about 1,400 alumni in the surrounding area
The overall average GPA for Kappa Delta Rho chapters is a 2.98
Kappa Delta Rho Headquarters provide over $90,000 in scholarship per year
All chapters are required to be TIPS trained which is very helpful in their future
Kappa Delta Rho provides strict health and safety training so chapters understand how to behave
Starting in Fall of 2016 Kappa Delta Rho is starting “The Legion”
o This is a new member and active member education program that will benefit every chapter
Philanthropy: KDR for Kids
o Kappa Delta Rho does not contribute to only one philanthropy
o Their headquarters let them choose their own philanthropy relating to helping children
o This gives the chapters the ability to help local charity’s
It usually take approximately 18 months-2 years for a chapter to gain its charter
The Kappa Delta Rho Fraternity currently has 38 active chapters
Motion to close the meeting made by Kappa Sigma seconded by Sigma Alpha Epsilon. Meeting was adjourned at
4:20pm.
Respectfully submitted,
Reece Eikenberg
