Lockheed Martin Engineering Management Program Graduation Checklist Master’s Exam Option Important reminder: throughout this semester, all Master’s Exam and Graduation information will be sent to your Colorado.EDU email address ONLY. Please ensure that you have emails forwarded from your CU account to the email address you check most frequently. Notify jannette.noonan@colorado.edu of your intent to graduate by the following date according to the semester you plan to graduate: Fall: August 15th Spring: December 15th Summer: April 15th Apply for graduation on-line by specified due dates. Log in to https://portal.cusys.edu/MyCUInfoFedAuthLogin.html and go to the Student tab. Under Academic Resources, click the Apply for Graduation link. Review the exam option guidelines at http://emp.colorado.edu/current/masters-exam. Check your transcript and Plan of Study to verify that you have completed all of the required coursework for the degree. Use the EMP website: http://emp.colorado.edu/current/degree as a resource in reviewing the required courses. Access to your personal transcript is available at: https://portal.cusys.edu/MyCUInfoFedAuthLogin.html (choose “View my Unofficial Transcript”). Fill out the “Candidacy Application for an Advanced Degree” form, which can be found at http://www.colorado.edu/GraduateSchool/academics/_docs/candap.pdf. List all non-degree EMEN credits in the ‘Transfer’ section on the Candidacy form. Your signature is required on the form. Submit the completed Candidacy Application and a copy of your transcript to Kendra Locher, 1111 Engineering Drive, 433 UCB ECOT 416, Boulder, CO 80309 or by email at kendra.locher@colorado.edu by the following date according to the semester you plan to graduate: Fall: September 1st Spring January 2nd Summer: May 1st EMP will evaluate the Candidacy Application and process through the Graduate School. The Graduate School stipulates that you must be registered for at least one credit hour the semester you graduate. If you have already completed the courses required for the degree, you must register and pay for EMEN 6940 Degree Candidacy (1cr.) in the semester you intend to take the Master’s Exam. You do not need to register for EMEN 6940 if you are registered for a course. Contact jannette.noonan@colorado.edu for information on how to register for EMEN 6940. Register for EMEN 6940 in eCollege. Exam questions will be emailed to your CU email account only if you have registered for EMEN 6940 in eCollege and if you have submitted the Honor Code Quiz. The email containing the exam questions will have specific directions and due dates. Upon satisfactory completion of the Master’s Exam, EMP will generate the Master’s exam report and notify the Graduate School of your completion. The College of Engineering and Applied Science conducts a separate Recognition Ceremony one day prior to the campus wide commencement event. The EMP hosts a reception in your honor prior to the College of Engineering and Applied Science ceremony. Additional information will be provided as the date approaches.
