Parker Genealogical Society Presents: Colorado Historic Newspapers Collection by Regan Harper For history buffs and Colorado enthusiasts. Join us for a free presentation about the Colorado Historic Newspapers Collection, a service of the Colorado State Library and History Colorado. The Collection contains over 690,000 pages of Colorado newspapers from 1859 on, and over 199 individual newspaper titles. The Collection is still growing, and we add new titles every year. We'll look at how to use the website and share some funny articles from Colorado's past. Regan Harper is the Director of Networking and Resource Sharing for the Colorado State Library and oversees the Colorado Historic Newspapers program. She grew up in Massachusetts where she got her Bachelor’s degree in history and English literature, lived in Oxford England where she got her Masters in Librarianship – and has lived in Colorado for the past 20 years. Since coming to Colorado, Regan has been working in the library and cultural heritage communities as a trainer, consultant and advocate. Please join us!
