How to Find Maps
Search for maps in Chinook, the Libraries’ catalog: http://libraries.colorado.edu/. A large portion of the Map
Library’s collection has not been added to Chinook yet. Please ask us if you do not find what you need.
Checking out Maps from the Library
The majority of maps in the Map Library collection may be checked out for 14 days. Maps and data on CD-ROM
circulate for 2 days. Pre-1950, fragile or rare maps, maps on proprietary software programs, and most of the
atlases and reference books in the collection do not circulate. 11” x 17” scanner/copier.
Map Library Location & Hours
The Map Library is located on the lower floor of the Jerry Crail Johnson Earth Sciences & Map Library in the Benson
Earth Sciences building.
Monday-Thursday: 8:00 am – 10:00 pm, Friday: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Saturday: Noon – 5:00 pm, Sunday: Noon – 10:00 pm
