This is a wonderful shorter itinerary that is jam packed with possibilities!
We have included the highlights of London, a special group dinner on Thanksgiving
at a traditional English restaurant, a backstage tour of the National Theatre and
the Globe Theatre, theatre workshop, West End theatre tickets and you still have
free time to explore on your own. We have included London Travelcards for each
full day so that you can adjust the itinerary to suit your needs and interests. You
have the option of making this long-weekend tour as individual as you are!!!
Day 1 Tuesday
November 20, 2012
Depart from New York on our overnight flight, arriving in Heathrow early in the morning.
Day 2 Wednesday
November 21, 2012
Arrive to London Heathrow airport and met after customs by the local guide who will help them to
the coach for the transfer to a panoramic city tour of London
View the main sights of the city aboard the coach – including panoramic viewings of the main London
sights, including:
The London Eye, Houses of Parliament, Tower of London.
Transfer to the hotel.
Overnight in London.
Day 3 Thursday
November 22, 2012
Issue of a one-day Transport for London travelcard to each member of the group.
Transfer to the National Theatre.
Backstage tour of the National Theatre with a specialist guide – view the scenery, stages, and
props, and learn about the history and current work of this iconic building.
In the afternoon, attend a theatre workshop on a current West End play, led by trained actors.
Remainder of day at leisure – why not visit the Victoria and Albert Museum’s theatrical exhibits;
this is a free entrance.
Celebrate Thanksgiving with your fellow travellers with a dinner at a traditional English Restaurant.
Overnight in London.

November 23, 2012
Issue of one-day travelcard
Tour of the Globe Theatre and workshop with a trained actor, where the group will be able to view
the theatre and hear about its history, then participate in a lively workshop focusing on a play of
their choice.
Afternoon transfer to the National Gallery via public transport
Visit the National Gallery.
Evening transfer to the West End via public transport, and watch a play at a West End theatre.
Transfer to hotel via public transport after the play.
Overnight in London.
Day 5 Saturday
November 24, 2012
Issue of one-day travelcard
Local guide for a morning tour of Theatreland, Covent Garden and the West End, including viewing
famous theatres, visiting Covent Garden Piazza, and information about the history of Theatre in
London.
In the afternoon, transfer to a market of choice via public transport, and free time to browse the
market – Camden and Portobello markets are open on Saturdays, and both make a great visit.
Camden is of course world-famous for its alternative clothing, food, and souvenir stalls, and its
great position on the canal; while Portobello market boasts a range of stalls, from up-and-coming
fashion designers, through pop and world music, and on into the antiques bazaars at the top of the
road; it is also located in pretty Notting Hill, and boasts several locations from the movie of the
same name, starring Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts.
Return to hotel via public transport.

Local coach transfer to London Heathrow airport for our afternoon flight back to the U.S.
