The 2014-2015 Biology Undergraduate Scholars ProgramHonors Research (BUSP-HR)
The Biology Undergraduate Scholars Program-Honors Research (BUSP-HR) provides funds for outstanding
Junior- and Senior-level undergraduate students in biology to pursue intensive, faculty-supervised research. A
$950 stipend per quarter will be awarded to those admitted to the program. After each quarter,
continuation in the funded BUSP HR program will be evaluated by the Director.
Applicants must be registered UC Davis undergraduates and must have continuing student status during the
quarter(s) in which the research is conducted. Participation is contingent on students identifying a faculty
sponsor by the beginning of fall quarter. If you require assistance finding a lab placement please contact the
Program Director as soon as possible.
Because the program is intended to provide an opportunity for intensive research, students are required to
be commit 10-15 hours of time per week to their research. Students are also required to enroll in BIS 198 (1
unit, pass/no pass) each quarter.
