Tracy Gay, LCSW is Manager of Social Services
with Alacare Home Health and Hospice. While
employed with Alacare, she has provided direct
case management services and has served as a
regional clinical supervisor to Alacare’s medical
social workers since 2006. She has also worked
with diverse populations in various settings
including mental health, adoption and foster care
as well as home health and hospice. Ms. Gay
earned her BS from Troy University and her
MSW from Florida State University.
Jennifer J. Savage, Ph.D., LCSW is an Associate
Professor at Jacksonville State University in
Social Work. She has taught social work at the
University of Louisiana at Monroe, Grambling
State University and is currently a field instructor
for University of New England. Practice settings
include medical social work, child and family
services, mental health and private practice.

Adrienne Duke, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor in
Human Development and Family Studies at
Auburn University and is the Adolescent
Development
Specialist
for
Alabama’s
Cooperative Extension System. She is leading a
state-wide bullying prevention initiative that
focuses on helping adults become allies and
advocates for creating safe and affirming
environments for all youth as they develop into
adulthood.

Thursday, February 26. The beach house sleeps
20 people. Rooms are not assigned; rooms are
available on a “first come” basis when you arrive
at the beach.
Friday, February 27, 2015:
8:00: Registration and Breakfast
9:00-11:00 “Consider the Conversation: End of
Life Issues” Tracy Gay, LCSW
1) To gain knowledge of how our views of death
have been shaped with western medical
advancement.
2) To empower professionals to initiate
discussions related to death, dying and end of life
choices.
3) To develop skills and specific tools to help
make educated decisions based on prognosis and
health care options.
11:00-11:15: BREAK
11:15-12:15: “Bullying” Dr. Adrienne Duke
1) Explore our beliefs and the culture of bullying
in our communities.
2) Understand how adults influence bullying
behaviors.
3) Clarify the difference between normal peer
conflict and bullying.
4) Develop therapeutic responses to help youth
cope when bullied.

Intracoastal Waterway in Gulf Shores. Turn
right onto Route 180 West (Fort Morgan Road).

third cottage on the left (blue house with a pool).
