Application Form for Summer 2016
Three requirements for a complete application:
1. Fill in this form using a word processing program such as Microsoft Word. Send
the completed application as an email attachment to NHRE@si.edu.
2. Arrange for two letters of reference to be sent to NHRE@si.edu. The most
effective letter writers are those who can speak about your potential for the
NHRE program. Usually, these will be college professors or other mentors. The
letters should be sent directly by the letter writers, not by the applicant. The
reference form may be downloaded from the NHRE website
(http://www.mnh.si.edu/NHRE/apply.htm).
3. Submit transcripts for all colleges that you have attended. Unofficial electronic or
scanned versions are acceptable and should be sent to NHRE@si.edu.
All application documents (application form, two letters of recommendation,
college transcripts) must be received by January 26, 2016. It is the student’s
responsibility to ensure that letters of reference reach NHRE@si.edu as attached
Word or PDF documents before the application deadline.
Instructions for Completing this Form
Most questions are followed by a blank space in which you may type your answer.
