ACADEMIC ALL-STAR AWARDS
Introduction
The Academic All-Star Award recognizes Northern Kentucky high school seniors who excel in academics.
Nomination Procedure
The principal or a person designated by the principal may nominate one senior of his/her choice.
Entry Checklist:






Nomination Form
Two Letters of recommendation* from teachers
High School Transcript
Documentation of ACT/SAT scores
Description of course load (not to exceed 100 words)
Please include photos or a video of the nominee as it pertains to the nomination
*Letters of Recommendation Guiding Question
In your Letter of Recommendation cite specific examples of this student’s academic ability and the characteristics that allow this student to excel
academically in your school community. Your letter should be no more than two pages typed and single-spaced.
Judging Criteria
The following criteria will be used by a panel of educators to select the winning all-stars in each academic category:
 GPA
 ACT/SAT scores
 Difficulty of course load
 Teacher recommendations
Awards
Five winners will be announced and receive their awards at the 2016 Excellence in Education Celebration on April 28, 2016 at the Northern
Kentucky Convention Center.
