The assignments will be given a point value, which will vary depending on the complexity of the assignment. Homework may consist of reading and/or writing assignments, including nightly independent reading of a book of your choice. Homework must be completed in order to receive credit. If you have not completed the homework by the assigned date, you will lose points. Grading Policy: Point values for all assignments will be totaled at the end of each quarter and divided by the total number of possible points for the quarter. The quarter percentage will be assigned a letter grade according to the school district grading policy. Each marking period accounts for 21% of the final grade. The final exam accounts for the remaining 16% of the final grade. This final percentage is then assigned a letter grade according to the school district grading policy.
