YEAR 5 WEEKLY SPELLINGS/WORD FAMILIES Autumn 1 Week 2 Objective - Year 4 spelling review. Dear Parents/Carers –The words below combine a range of spelling rules covered in Year 4. Areas covered: plurals, possessive apostrophes, -ous words, -sure words, -gue words, ‘sh’ sound spelt ‘ch’, ‘k’ sound spelt ‘ch’, ‘s’ sound spelt ‘sc’ and ‘c’ makes the ‘s’ sound. The apostrophe must be positioned in the correct place for a correct answer. The children will complete an activity every week where they will complete sentences with missing words. The sentences will incorporate the words below. The score will be recorded in the Home School diary every Friday.
