Join Us! ***Night March for Fossil Free Future*** The leaders of 192 nations are meeting in Paris in two months time to discuss Climate Change. We want them to know what OUR agenda is. Protest will take place all around the world. Come and march with us! Locally: The UC Regents have committed to divesting from coal and tar sands. This is a great start, but only about 3% of their investment in toxic fossil fuels. On Wednesday, September 30th, Fossil Free Cal will lead a night march around the South Side of the UC Berkeley campus. As climate change takes its toll on the planet, it disproportionately impacts those least able to protect themselves. The Regents have shown no desire to stop investing in the big oil and natural gas producing and extracting companies. By marching, we will send a clear message to the UC Regents that we will not stand for their continued investment in fossil fuel companies. We want YOU: students, alumni, community, and faculty members. Bring your whistles, your pots, and your drums. Bring your megaphones, your signs, and your passionate voices. Bring your friends and family. We will make the Regents HEAR our complaints instead of continuing to ignore us. From Berkeley to Paris we say NO TO FOSSIL FUELS! INVEST IN SUSTAINABLE ENERGY! Where: Corner of College @ Bancroft, Berkeley. When: 8:00pm on Wednesday, 30th September. Please sign up at the Facebook events page and invite others: https://www.facebook.com/events/966476863417064/
