Plans must be provided to us and made available to the general public via the Dial Before You Dig service. STEP 1 – negotiate supply point You must negotiate with AusNet Services for an approved supply point before any works commence. If a suitable supply point is not available time delays for construction works may occur Please complete the attached application form in order for AusNet Services to understand your supply requirements. Please allow up to 20 business days for a response. STEP 2 – information on proposed cable plan (must be included with application) Information on Proposed Plans. Please ensure your proposed plan includes the following information. Site address including outside or opposite street number Distance to nearest AusNet Services Pole and pole Number Proposed cable route and length. Distance from proposed supply location (installation) to nearest intersection Pole Numbers When searching for the relevant pole number please look for a plastic or aluminium strip that is generally attached to the pole at eye level and between 4 and 6 digits in length. See attached template for example of Proposed Cable Plan STEP 3 – exemption from Energy Safe Victoria Unless you are one of the following, you will be required to obtain an exemption from Energy Safe Victoria once AusNet Services has approved your application. Local Council Vic Roads Melbourne City Link Victrack STEP 4 – payment of fees AusNet Services will advise of any contribution fees payable for provision of a supply. The minimum fee is a project administration fee of $550.00 (inc GST) per project. * Please make cheques payable to AusNet Asset Services Pty Ltd ABN 27 075 826 881. STEP 5 – submission of as-built plans for approval Once supply negotiations are complete and your construction works undertaken, please submit your as-built cable plans for approval and registration in our mapping system. You may proceed with the connection process once your plans pass our requirements. BEFORE ARRANGING CONNECTION WITH YOUR ENERGY RETAILER: Final AS-BUILT plans must be registered with AusNet Services and fees paid AusNet Services will then inform you when you can proceed with the connection process.
