Workshop on, Gender and the politics of environments February 25-26, 2013 Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences The workshop on Gender and the Politics of Environments convenes scholars to explore the complex linkages and intersections of gender with policy, politics, environmental exploitation and sustainable resource use globally. With this workshop our aim is to bring together scholars in Sweden working on gender and on environmental politics especially at the intersection of these fields. We hope to create synergy among us and also sketch the contours of the field here in Sweden, although most of us work in fairly disparate fields. Participants are encouraged to send in a page each about their research which we will circulate beforehand among all participants. We especially encourage doctoral students working in this field to also present their work as posters along with a page about their research. Posters will be put up at the venue and meant to be part of the discussions. Doctoral students will be awarded 2 credits for their participation. Participants at the workshop include Dianne Rocheleau (Clark University), Andrea Nightingale (Gothenburg University), Nancy Langston (University of Wisconsin-Madison), Martin Hultman (Umeå University), Lena Abrahamsson (Luleå University), Lasse Lindström (Stockholm University), Jacob Bull (Uppsala University) and many more as well as researchers from SLU in Uppsala and Umeå. To register, please send a mail to Seema.Arora.Jonsson@slu.se with about a page about your research. Doctoral students, please also send the title of your poster.
