Prerequisites MSc in Animal Science or Biology or equivalent knowledge. Objective The aim of this course is to introduce the students to R and give examples of how programming in R can be helpful in analysis of data. Content Introduction to R Read input from a file Write output to a file Re-formatting a data file Merging data files Writing functions in R Introduction to statistical modeling in R Introduction to graphics in R Course evaluation Means of conducting the course Five half-day meetings with lectures and computer exercises. In addition the students are expected to do individual work in between meetings. The students will bring their own computers to work on. Examination: Participation in at least 4 meetings.
