Background
Customer has an initiative to improve automation and has evaluated TurnKey’s SAP
Accelerator, LiveCompare and cFactory for scriptless test automation. Turnkey has
met with Erin Meagher, Mark Jorgenson, and Cindy Decker on several occasions to
review technical and business elements to these solutions. A workshop was
conducted to demonstrate test cases and validate that the solutions would satisfy
Customer’s needs. The workshop was broken into three sessions and enabled a lot
of interaction with Customer. This allowed Customer a more detailed understanding of
how TurnKey Solution’s deliver value.

Solution
A major release is launched at Customer, on average, every quarter. There is a
consistent demand for faster delivery of high quality applications in order to provide
better services and products to their customers. However, application delivery is
becoming more complex with the deployment of mobile, cloud and custom solutions
to support their growing business. As a result, automated software testing has
evolved as a critical component of quality assurance and management, designed to
address the speed and agility that business demand.
TurnKey Solutions is proposing a Scriptless Testing solution that will address
Customer’s business and testing challenges by:

Leverage Your Existing HP Software Quality Management Solution
There is no need to rip and replace your current HP solution to get the benefits of
scriptless testing. cFactory™ is tightly integrated with HP Software’s Quality
Management products, including: Quality Center, Quick Test Professional (UFT) and
Business Process Testing. TurnKey is proud to be HP’s sole preferred, go-to-market
partner for testing. Other companies may claim integration, but it is not certified. This
can pose issues when changes or upgrades occur. Cindy was able to discuss our
unique HP partnership with Minish Nirmal who is the VP of ALM Solutions at HP.

Drag and Drop Test Creation:
cFactory™ allows your non-technical business users to create tests by simply clicking
through their application screens. cFactory™ then analyzes the application screens
and automatically builds reusable, fully optimized testing components in a matter of
seconds. These components can then be dragged and dropped together to create
test cases. There’s no scripting and there’s no recording.

Automated Maintenance:
Continual change is a given in software applications today. In a traditional approach to
automation, if your application changes you must manually rework all of the tests that
are impacted. This problem makes test maintenance painfully tedious and virtually
impossible. In fact, test maintenance represents 90% of the costs associated with
application testing. Because of this, most organizations struggle to get over 20%
application coverage with traditional automated test tools.
cFactory™ is designed from the ground up to be different. After an application has
been updated, cFactory™ automatically identifies the changes, allowing the user to
view and apply updates across all test sets and data. Visual cues walk the user
through the process and allowing updates to the application instantly. The user can
literally update thousands of test sets with a simple push of a button. The changes are
then automatically updated in HP Quality Center.
So, the dynamic that causes test maintenance to consume 90% of application test
budget is reversed, allowing for full application coverage without adding armies of
staff to keep test cases and scripts updated.

cFactory™ Scriptless Testing to deliver faster time to value, even within your highly
customized environment. This intelligent, comprehensive platform allows you to
deploy applications sooner, while minimizing the cost and complexity of application
testing. The accelerator is used to build and maintain your tests and cFactory is used
to build and maintain your components.
TurnKey’s SAP Accelerator has done all the heavy lifting by providing you pre-built
content and pre-automated test cases to test your SAP systems out-of-the-box. These
components allow you to validate the most commonly used SAP modules from sales
and distribution and financial accounting to production planning and human capital
management, to name a few. With the Accelerator, you can automate new processes
or update existing tests faster than ever before. We also work with your team on any
custom applications to quickly implement and dramatically accelerate your time to
automation and ROI.
The SAP Accelerator includes the content of a comprehensive library of components

PRICING
Software & Maintenance
Pricing for Customer includes Software, and Maintenance. Our Enterprise License
is the method we believe would better satisfy Customer’s needs. This excludes
professional services (which are billed and consumed as needed) and will be dealt
with under separate agreement.
Enterprise License: Based on the estimated license numbers you provided our
enterprise license is the best model for Customer. This offers an unlimited number of
global concurrent cFactory licenses, the SAP accelerator content library, unlimited
accelerator execution seats, and Turnkey LiveCompare. The enterprise price is
$950,000. The annual maintenance of 22% would be $209,000.
