Scientists make many observations during an investigation. Usually, they
classify, or group, their observations by similarities. In this activity, you will
classify objects based on observed similarities.

Procedure
1. Examine the objects provided by your teacher.
2. Classify the objects into groups based on similarities
you see among the objects. Record the names of the
objects in each of your groups in the data table in the
column First Classification Scheme. Record the basis
for your classification.
