Notebook Check MP#3: Due Wednesday 4/1/15 Each item in the notebook check must be completed accurately & neatly to earn 8 pts. each. (80 Points) This means that if you did not receive full credit on an assignment, you should make corrections to improve it. You can receive an additional 10 pts. each for Neatness and Organization. Lesson 4: Plotting Earthquakes Location, Depth and Magnitude (3 must be plotted with your Reflect and Apply.) 5. Lesson 5: Plotting Volcanic Activity, must have Focus from Picture Prompt describing forces at work on pot of water boiling on the stove and 10 Volcanoes plotted on your map. 6. Lesson 6: Reading Investigating Plate Movement pp. 84-89, answer 2 questions from p.89 7. Lesson 8: Convection in the Mantle worksheet with accurate drawing and labels, also answer to question on sheet 8. Lesson 1 Lab: What are organisms? Need Focus (Self, Group, Class), Explore, Reflect (Notes on Aristotle, Linnaeus, and Hennig), Apply (What have you learned about organisms and classification?) 9. Lesson 2 Lab: WOWBug/Melittobia digitata, must have Focus ?, Explore (Scientific Drawings accurately drawn by following rubric), Reflect-Discussion ?’s from Reading pp 35-36 about the WOWBug, and Apply (Real-life/Meaningful connection) 10. Write a 1 Paragraph Summary with a minimum of 7 sentences describing your experience in Science for Marking Period 3. Use the Who? What? When? Where? How? And Why? Approach to expand on your experience. For example: Who? Write about a key Scientist we studied this marking period. What? What were some of your favorite activities or labs? When? Why? Describe a key event in Science; give the date and why it took place How? How did we learn about something new this Marking Period? Where? Where did an event take place or where is your favorite location in the room?
