Contract
Banesley Lane Livery Yard is incorporated into Banesley lane Equestrian Centre in terms of advertising and reference to
rules relating to either or both.

The rules terms and conditions are to be agreed by “you, yourself” the horse owner

Yard Rules









All terms and conditions to be adhered to
No Smoking anywhere on yard, car park only
No dogs on either yard
Do not feed yard dogs
No Instructors on the yard
No one to ride your horse in/on our facilities
Notify us by text before bringing guests to the yard to ensure dogs are locked up
Strictly NO children on the yard
Opening times to be agreed verbally depending on the time of year
General Safety

Your horse must be insured for third party liability
Always lead horses in an appropriate head collar and lead rope, or bridle, or chiffney
Never leave a horse tied up on the yard unsupervised
Do not leave horses loose on the yard grazing
Do not feed horses in the field or outside the field in sight of the other horses, you MUST bring them
in to feed. Do not enter the field with a bucket
No hay/haylage to be fed in the field
We recommend wearing a hard hat to catch your horse when turned out with other horses
Do not leave the last horse turned out alone on bringing your horse in, notify Laura
Do not feed, turn out or deal with anyone else’s horse without their express permission unless in an
emergency where we must also be notified
Notify us of any maintenance or safety issues relating to any aspect of safety to yourself, your horse
or other yard users
Welfare
11) All horses on the yard will be monitored by us
12) If Lesley or Laura deem your horses’ health or welfare to be of concern they will discuss it with you
13) Further to (12) if you continue to do nothing about your horses’ health, Lesley and Laura will contact
your vet and raise concerns over welfare. Any cost will be paid by you, the owner
14) In an emergency you will be contacted by us, if we fail to be able to reach you and a vet is needed we
will make the arrangements, and you will be liable for any costs
15) We cannot always accommodate strip grazing, or extra grass for various weight management issues
therefore we may recommend standing in off the grass or feeding extra hard feed at extra cost and
time to you in order to manage these issues
16) Horses feet must be regularly dressed/shod
17) We allow owners to follow their own worming programme, however we require a mandatory worm
count annually
18) If ever the yard is on lock down for bio security reasons you must conform and any costs that are
incurred as a result of additional care by us of your horse must be paid in full

Use of the facilities
19) All facilities are used entirely at your own risk including the car park and vehicle storage
20) Please leave the arena’s as you find them. If the arena is clear and you wish to jump, please put them
away after use. If the jumps are set out, please leave them out.
21) Do NOT use either outdoor arena if snow is lying as the surface pulls up in clumps
22) No lungeing in small arena
23) No loose schooling in either arena
24) If lungeing in large arena please move around to prevent surface compacting
25) Please remove all muck from arena’s
26) Indoor lights will be on a pay meter
27) If any jumps get broken or damaged they must be paid for
28) Any damage to facilities must be reported and paid for
29) Do NOT let your horses touch the mirrors
30) Ride a safe distance from the mirrors to avoid kicking them if horses buck
31) Allocated storage must not be exceeded, please take any excess home
32) No tack or expensive equipment to be stored on the premises, or done so at own risk
33) Additional costs may apply to some facilities, please see price list

No instructors are allowed to teach on our yard unless arranged by Laura
No one is to school or ride your horse using our facilities
No loans/part loans can take place at our yards
As a livery you can ride another livery’s horse with their permission but NOT for payment
Any clinic’s you wish to take part in must be paid for in advance and are non-refundable
Park Farm
39) Horses that kick at feed time or are generally noisy in their stable cannot be stabled here as the hotel
is the primary business

We accept payment weekly, every 4 weeks or per calendar month

Service Statement
I understand that as a livery at Banesley Lane Equestrian Centre I am solely responsible for the care of my
horse whether on full livery, part livery or DIY. I further understand that horses at livery with other horses are
subject to a level of risk associated with live animals and I therefore do not hold the staff responsible for any
injury unless caused by the negligence or unsatisfactory services. I certify that I have read and understand the
terms and conditions set forth within the contract which are hereby incorporated into this Service Statement
by reference. I agree to abide by the rules, terms and conditions and accept all rules, terms, conditions, and
statements within this contract.

DIY £25pwk (£108 pcm) Park Farm Yard
To include stable, all-year grazing, storage space, access to lessons, clinics and schooling. Use of outdoor arena
only.
Part Livery £45pwk (£195 pcm) all year round
To include stable, all-year grazing, 20lbs of haylage*per day during winter
Monday-Friday morning turn out or evening bring in during winter,
Plus assistance with farrier, vet, physio, and dentist if required
During summer horses are turned out 24 hours. If you would like them stabled, services and hayalge are
available at an extra cost
*an extra £2 per week is required for horses being fed in excess of 20lbs haylage
Plus an extra £1 per week for every additional 2lbs (fed daily) over 24lbs. e.g 26lbs per day = an extra £3 on livery price
Full Livery £97pwk (£420 pcm) all year
Full livery includes full daily care Monday – Friday only
We can provide assistance with turn out or bring in on weekends with prior arrangement
Full liveries will have semi-private paddocks for grazing rather than herd turnout.
To include stable with rubber mats, haylage, all-year grazing, shavings, hard feed, assistance with farrier, vet,
physio, and dentist. Full use of all facilities, access to clinics, lessons and schooling
Mon-Fri muck-out, hay nets, rug changes turn out and bring in
Option for summer 24hr grazing at owner’s discretion £75pwk (£325) Includes hard feeds, twice daily care,

Schooling livery £150pwk
Stable with rubber mats, automatic water, ad-lib hay/haylage, shavings, private turnout paddock, full daily
care 7 days per week. Six ridden sessions tailored to individual requirements or swap final ridden session for a
lesson.
Other services as a one off charge
One day full livery: all day services provided using your shavings and hard feed for £8 per day
Turn out OR bring in with rug change £2 per day
