Final Completion - Approval

Please find the attached letter from D. A. Hogan and Associates recommending Final Completion of
the Bainbridge High School Tennis Court Resurfacing Project. The letter informs the district that the
work has been performed in accordance with contract documents.
This project represents another milestone in supporting the district’s effort to maintain and preserve
assets, keeping a promise made to taxpayers in the 2009 Bond request. The work performed by
Hellas Construction and subcontractors has repaired, replaced and improved the existing tennis courts
for both students and the community to enjoy.
All six of the tennis courts required work: four of the full size, older courts required repair and asphalt
overlay, structural fabric underlayment, new fencing, wind screens, and new net posts and nets. The
two newer, 10-year old courts were cleaned, patched and repaired. All six courts were resurfaced with
acrylic, newly painted lines and markings. The resurfaced tennis courts significantly improve the
appearance and quality of court play for Bainbridge Island students and residents.
I am in agreement with the architect and recommend that the Board of Directors approve Final
Completion of the Bainbridge High School Tennis Court Resurfacing Project.
