Reduction
China Beijing High-Tech Expo is approved by the State Council, hosted by 8
departments which are Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Commerce,
Ministry of Education, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, China
Council for the Promotion of International Trade, State Intellectual Property Office,
State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council,
last but not least, Beijing City Council. It is a national big high-tech expo organised
by CCPIT Beijing, also it is the most important and famous international event for the
domestic technology area. The 19th high-tech expo will be held on 18th to 22th, May
2016 in Beijing.
The 18th National People's Congress reported that constructing ecology civilisation is
related to people’s welfare and the future of the whole nation. Since the scarcity of
resources, environmental pollution and ecosystem degradationare the harsher
circumstances nowadays, saving resources and protecting environment is becoming
the basic policies that must be stick to. Also, promoting the green development,
circular development, and low carbon development, creating a well environment for
the people, contributed for the world’s ecology security as well. The report of 18th
National People's Congress has been boosting ecology civilisation to the
unprecedented level, in this way, the previous layout (economy construction, political
construction,
culture
construction
and
socialism
construction)
of
Chinese
characteristics’ socialism has been expanded to five parts, which is the new plan by
the Party Central Committee, and it is fully followed the scientific outlook on

development.
On August 2012, the State of Council has distributed the "12th Five-Year National
Plan for Environmental Protection", which is aimed at ten important projects on
energy conservation and reduce emissions industry. Also it is required every province,
every industry should insist on low-carbon development, managing energy saving,
promoting the new technology and utilisation on energy conservation and reduce
emissions, also launch a nationwide campaign. The new strategy from the Party
Central Committee and the State of Council means that the energy conservation and
reduce emissions industry will be developing vigorously, and the enterprises of
circular economy will be facing up business booming period.
With the development and cultivation of 18 years, CHITEC has become a
comprehensive technology event which has wide international influence; it is an
important platform for China to exchange and cooperate with the whole world, also it
is one of the most representative/authoritative international expo in China’s economic
and trade areas. To throughout the Party Central Committee and the State of Council’
policy, to establish the concept of scientific development,accelerating the change of
economic growth mode and readjusting the economic structure, to demonstrate the
construction achievement of building “ecology civilisation”, promoting the
development of circular economy and the energy conservation and reduce emissions
industry, helping enterprises realise the industry directive and expand the marking,
this year’s CHITEC will continue hold on “Circular Economy, Energy Conservation
and Emissions Exhibition”, also aim to present it as the major theme and a special part
for the whole event.

III. Data of the 18th CHITEC

Over 40 activities promoted the transformation of technological achievements and
cooperation among exhibitors.

123 projects were signed during the CHITEC. The worth of the agreements was up to 86.023
billion RMB.

230,000 visitors at home and abroad participated the 17th CHITEC.11 international
organizations, delegations of science, technology and trade from more than 20 countries,
officials from embassies of 20 countries to China and 35 domestic provinces were involved
in the thematic reports, exhibitions, forums and promotion activities

The 16th CHITEC received 220000 visitors. 13 special project promotion conferences
attracted more than 5,000 domestic and foreign businessmen to participate. 286 heads of

international organizations, officials of government departments, well-known experts were
invited to give speeches in 8 forums which attracted 7000 audiences.
