High-Level Meeting on Cooperation for Child Rights
in the Asia Pacific Region

Translation Arrangements
 Headphones will be provided for all participants at the High Level
Meeting in Beijing.
 However, only Chinese-English and English-Chinese simultaneous
interpretation will be provided.
 Those delegations not speaking English or Chinese would need to bring
their own interpreters to Beijing
o When that country’s Minister/ Head of Delegation speaks, that
interpreter could translate the remarks into English from an
interpreting booth
o An English-Chinese interpreter would then work simultaneously
from a second booth.
 *Those country delegations planning on bringing their own interpreter to
Beijing should contact the conference secretariat (jowilliams@unicef.org
cc lbow@unicef.org) as soon as possible so that we can look to secure
electronic translation devices for their use at the High Level Meeting.
