The Mauritius Examinations Syndicate (MES) is delighted to be hosting the 5 th edition of the Cambridge Outstanding Learner Awards to celebrate the achievements of Mauritian students who have come top in the world, top in
Mauritius and have achieved outstanding grades in the November 2010 examination session. On behalf of the Mauritius Examinations Syndicate (MES) and University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE), we would like to offer our heartfelt congratulations to all these students for their outstanding performance, to their families, their teachers and their schools.

Cambridge International O, AS and A Levels are renowned the world over for being challenging examinations; students who gain top grades can be justifiably proud of their achievements and confident that good grades will be welcomed by some of the most prestigious universities and employers around the world.
Students will be presented with the Cambridge Top in the world award and the
Cambridge Top in Mauritius award where they have achieved the highest mark in the world and in Mauritius respectively at O, A and AS Level in any subject. The
High Achievement Award will be bestowed to students who have achieved outstanding results in subjects with low candidatures.
CIE Examinations are sat internationally, which means Mauritian candidates compete with students from over 50 other countries around the world, from all continents and all corners of the globe. Cambridge International SC O Levels and
HSC AS and A levels are set as far north as Scandinavia and as far south as
Australia, New Zealand and the tip of South America.
This fifth edition of the Cambridge Outstanding Learner Awards will be held in the MES Hall, Réduit, on Thursday 07 July 2011 at 13 15 hours.
