Bob Hill Hills Bros Expressways Ltd. Bob is the owner of Hill Bros Expressways Ltd. Hills Bros own 4.5 acres within the Shepard Business Park with a truck shop and washbays located at #5 Industry Way. Bob was instrumental in the construction of the building facilities and after two years of hands on construction, Hill Bros moved in November 1, 2008. Bob’s experience on Boards include six years as director with the Alberta Motor and Trucking Association (AMTA), one year on the Board of the United Way for the Trucking Sector and two years as director for the Falcon’s Bantam Football Club. Bob has been a director of the Shepard Business Park Lot Owners Association since 2009. Chester A. Nagy Plains Fabrication & Supply Mr. Chester A. Nagy is President and CEO of Plains Fabrication & Supply, a 100% locally and privately owned custom steel manufacturing company in Calgary, Alberta. Chester began his career by achieving his Alberta First Class Welding ticket, and working in the steel fabrication industry. When his then current employer was experiencing business difficulties, Chester and a handful of coworkers seized the opportunity to continue the business by forming Plains Fabrication & Supply in 1988. With extensive hands on work experience, followed by twenty years of direct operations management, Chester has guided Plains to its current level of excellence in manufacturing oil & gas production equipment and related components destined for various locations around the world. He has been at the helm of Plains’ growth since inception, and is now continuing to foster its success and diversification with plans to construct a modern manufacturing facility. Chester participates on numerous committees and boards within the industry, and is actively involved in the community fostering the next generation of leaders as mentor and coach in sports and recreation organizations. Chester has been a director of the Shepard Business Park Lot Owners Association since 2009. Steve Sam Standard General Inc. Steve Sam has worked for Standard General Inc. for 12 years and is currently the Manager for Business Development, Continuous Process Improvement, and Environmental Reporting. He is a civil engineering alumnus with the University of Calgary. He spent seven years in Southeast Asia engaging in heavy civil and building construction. Upon his return to Calgary, he has been actively involved in the construction industry, most recently as the Project Manager for the 16th Avenue Widening. Stephen Mackisoc C.E.T. HC Piper Manufacturing Inc. Stephen is the Vice President and General Manager of HC Piper Manufacturing Inc., an Alberta owned and operated engineering, design and fabrication company with deep roots in the Oil Sands. HCP is an industry leader in the design and fabrication of Vapour Recovery Units and high specification process modules. Since graduating from SAIT with a diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, Stephen has worked in multiple industries (Oil Sands construction, Logistics, Banking Automation, Chemicals) with increasing levels of responsibility. Immediately prior to joining HC Piper, he led a turnaround of a failing atmospheric tank manufacturer and returned it to profitability, delivering consecutive profitable quarters after the takeover. As part of a commitment to lifelong learning, he is currently enrolled in a Masters program at Michigan State University in Strategic Leadership & Management at the Ali Broad College of Business. Stephen served as a board member of the Civil Engineering Society while at SAIT and holds coaching certifications in hockey and lacrosse. He has been actively involved in playing and coaching soccer and hockey and most recently coached Ladies Junior ‘A’ Lacrosse. Dean (Dino) Truant Roman Real Estate Services Dino is the owner of Roman Real Estate Services, specializing in Commercial Real Estate including Development, Design "Build to Suit", and Brokerage. They also specialize in the industrial sector, and create strong relationships with clients to not only build their buildings, but build their business. Dino experience on Boards includes 14 years as director with RDB Holdings which is an industrial landlord based out of Red Deer Alberta; as well as 4 years as Director with Corsair Developments in Calgary which is a Design Build industrial Development Company specializing in developing single use properties for the manufacturing and trucking industry. Dino is involved in many charity endeavors and outdoor activities including rock climbing, hiking and fishing. Dino has been a director of the Shepard Business Park Lot Owners Association since 2012. John Forrester Chariot Express Ltd. John Forrester was born in St. Albert, Alberta and was raised in Calgary. He has been married for 30 years and has 3 sons and 1 granddaughter. His personal hobbies include spending time with his family, photography, as much travel as he can manage, many outdoor activities such as hiking and golf, as well as curling. John is the President of Chariot Express Ltd. located in the Shepard Business Park. He started Chariot Express in 1983 with 3 partners and became President and sole owner in 2011 with 74 employees. He spent a total of 6 years in the RCAF (Royal Canadian Air Force) Air Cadets where he attained a Glider Pilot scholarship and license in 1973 as well as a Private Pilot scholarship and license in 1974. John previously volunteered as President of Centennial Little League Baseball from 1997 to 1999 and is currently a director of the Shepard Business Park Lot Owners Association.
