Grazing Management Project
South East Local Land Services is seeking a coordinator (Landcare group or individual) to engage with the
community and continue supporting farm enterprises with grazing management practices. This opportunity is
available is for individuals and groups within the local government areas of Boorowa, Upper Lachlan and Yass
Valley.
About the project
South East Local Land Services recognises the role that grazing management plays not only in livestock
production systems but also in the health of our overall ecosystem including water quality, biodiversity, soil health
amongst others.
Several grazing management courses have been conducted in previous years to promote grazing principles
including ProGraze, Grazing for Profit, Holistic Management and others. It is recognised that to foster practice
change after the completion of these courses, on-going support greatly enhances the confidence and capacity of
land managers to undertake change.
The aim of the project is to support our community to improve knowledge and skills in sustainable land
management practices and to assist land managers in implementing on-ground practice change. As described
above South East Local Land Services is proposing to engage with a contractor (Landcare group or individual) to
engage with the community and continue supporting farm enterprises with grazing management practices. This
opportunity is available is for individuals and groups within the local government areas of Boorowa, Upper Lachlan
and Yass Valley. This project has been funded through the Australian Government.
