This Week at a Glance:












2011
MONDAY: No School Today in honor of Veteran’s Day.
TUESDAY: Advanced band will meet at 7:40am in the band room.
TUESDAY: Junior High Parent Teacher Conferences by appointment.
WEDNESDAY: Beginning band will meet at 7:45am in the band room.
WEDNESDAY: Junior High Parent Teacher Conferences by appointment.
WEDNESDAY: Parents in Prayer will meet at 8:30am in the office conference room.
WEDNESDAY: Choir rehearsal today at 3:15pm…meet at the flagpole.
WEDNESDAY: Mad Science will meet today at 3:15pm…meet at the flagpole.
THURSDAY: Junior High Parent Teacher Conferences by appointment. Junior
High students only will be released at 11:30am. There will be
no
daycare available between 11:30 and 3:00pm for the JH students.
THURSDAY: Advanced band will meet at 7:40am in the band room.
THURSDAY: Special Guest Rob Biagi will be in concert at the Elementary Chapel. CDs will be
available for purchase.
FRIDAY: Room Mom meeting in the Daycare room at 8:45am.
Looking Ahead on the Calendar:






School will be closed Monday, November 19th through Friday,
November 23rd for Teacher In-services and Thanksgiving break.
6th graders will visit the California Science Center Wednesday, November 28th.
2nd graders will be celebrating Apple Day Friday, November 30th.
3rd graders will visit the Tessmann Planetarium Friday, November 30th.
The all school Christmas program will be Friday, December 14th at 7:00pm.
Christmas break will be Friday, December 21st through Friday, January 4th. School will
resume Monday, January 7, 2013.
Sports Report:
The Boys Flag Football team and the Girls Basketball team have both earned a spot in
the playoffs! The Flag Football game will be on the road (location to be determined) Thursday,
November 14th at 3:00pm. The Basketball game will be here at GCS on Thursday, November 15th at
3:15pm. Best of luck to both teams…let’s go grace!!
As a Reminder…
Don’t forget to drop off your Fresh & Easy receipts in the box in the office. For every $20 in
receipts, GCS will receive $1. We still need a few more volunteers for Wednesday, December 5th to help
bag groceries at Fresh & Easy between 4:00 and 8:00pm. Any amount of time you could give would be
much appreciated. Please contact Selina Mullaney in the Buyer’s Office if you can help out!
