Parking will be available for spectators on the Colerain High School main campus

BAND CONTEST ETIQUETTE –Please keep in mind that you are representing our school and our band
at all times. Please do not talk badly about other bands....and please do not talk about our band’s
business with other groups. Please turn off all Cell Phones while watching bands perform. It is
important to clap in appropriate spots for all bands, but it is not appropriate to talk during
performances. Also, please do not try and enter the stands or leave the stands while a band is
performing. If this is your first competition you will find that these are fun events, but there are
definitely differences between band comps and football games. We need to support all of the bands
there. Please take time to read the article at the following link about appropriate etiquette and band
shows. http://kyband.com/home/articles/marching-contest-etiquette/
Awards Ceremony Information –
The band should wear their show shirts when not in uniform. The band stands together during the awards ceremony.
The students that are staying in uniform for the awards ceremony are the two drum majors (Victoria & Joe), the Color
Guard and Percussion Captains, and 1 Wind Captain, which will rotate at each show. All seniors stand together at the
last competition, MidStates Championships.
FOOD –
Donations – The only things we are asking for this week are plates, utensils, napkins, and
desserts.
WATER – Each week we ask for donations of bottled water.
We ONLY want the 8oz bottles, please. Larger bottles
end up going to waste. These can be dropped off in the concession stand the night before or the morning of the show.
We use these at Warm-Up and at meals.

COME TO THE TRAILERS!
I would like to invite parents, grandparents, families, and friends to come to the trucks in between
performances. We will have name tags there for everyone, so please come and visit with your kids. They
would love to see you there and it is also a great way to meet other band families.
