Newsletter of the Manotick Curling Center APRIL 2010 http://manotick.ovca.com Manotick Curlers’ Accomplishments Little Rocks The Little Rock 2009-2010 season has drawn to a close and I wanted to share some thoughts with you. I am happy to report that the program grew from one session in 2008-2009 to 2 sessions in 20092010 to accommodate our growth from 29 youth to 43 youth! The program also had to grow from 5 instructors to 9 to accommodate the number of youth. During the year we attended 24 Bonspiels including the Zones where we placed 3rd overall. This year marks the first time the Little Rock program awarded Blue level challenge awards and 2 youth were successful in achieving this level of expertise. Congratulations to Kaitlyn and Sean. 6 Youth achieved their Red Level, up from 1 last year. Congratulations to Sean, Daniel, Kelsey, Chris, Leith and Quinn 17 Youth achieved their Little Rock challenge award! I would like to thank all my fellow instructors, all the parents who helped out and especially all the smiling faces of the youth that greeted us each Sunday morning.
