Handling, storage and protection of reinforcement shall be in accordance with the Requirements of technical specifications relating to the steel reinforcing and pre-stressing steel, technical guidance, project of concrete structure and the provisions of this Appendix. G.2.2.4. the Contractor shall in accordance with SK EN 13670-1:20XX before installation check whether the reinforcement in accordance with the requirements of concrete construction project and 30 Section 2 – Structural Unified Construction Code of Republic of Kosovo Chapter I - Concrete Structures whether during handling and storage of reinforcement came to its damage, deformation or other changes that would affect the technical properties concrete structures. G.2.2.5. Supervising engineer just before concreting must: a) Ensure there is a certificate of conformity for pre-stressing steel, and / or the reinforcing steel or rebar and whether they comply with the requirements stated in properties of concrete construction project: b) Ensure that the steel rebar’s are manufactured, installed and connected in accordance with the Design of concrete structures and / or technical instructions for installation and use in Reinforcement and in accordance with Appendix" and Appendix “I" of this Regulation, c) Keep a record of all the checks carried out, in the construction diary. G.2.3. Serviceability of concrete structures G.2.3.1. When demonstrating the usability of concrete structure should be taken into account: a) Records in the construction diary on the properties and other information on construction products embedded in concrete construction b) The results of monitoring activities and control procedures that are in accordance with this Regulation must conduct before installing building products in concrete construction: c) Evidence of usability (test results, records of the implemented procedures, etc.) that the contractor provides during execution of works: e) construction conditions and other circumstances under construction diary and other documentation, the contractor must have a site, documentation that a manufacturer of building products must have, and may influence the technical characteristics of concrete structures. G.2.4. Subsequent proving of technical characteristics of concrete structures G.2.4.1. For concrete construction, which does not have the intended technical characteristics or the same cannot be identified due to lack of required documentation, must be follow-up survey and subsequent calculations to determine the technical characteristics of concrete structures according to a series of standards SK EN 12504:20XX, SK EN 13791:20XX s and the standards to which these standards are referred, and provisions of this Appendix. G.2.4.2. In order to determine the technical characteristics of concrete structures under Paragraph G.2.4.1. this Appendix is necessary to collect relevant information on concrete construction to the extent and degree that allow assessing the degree of compliance with the essential requirements of mechanical resistance and stability, fire resistance and other essential requirements for the building under the provisions of special regulations. G.3. MAINTENANCE OF CONCRETE STRUCTURES G.3.1. Actions within the maintenance of concrete structures should be conducted under the provisions of this Appendix and the regulations referred to in this Appendix and the appropriate application of other provisions of the Appendix to this Regulation: 31 Section 2 – Structural Unified Construction Code of Republic of Kosovo Chapter I - Concrete Structures G.3.2. The frequency of regular inspections for the purpose of maintaining the concrete Structure is carried out in accordance with the requirements of the project, but not less than: a) 10 years for building public and private sectors, b) 2 years for bridges, c) 5 years for the industrial, transportation, infrastructure, and other buildings that are not Listed under a) and b) G.3.3. The way the examination is determined by the construction project, which Includes at least: a) Visual inspection, which is included in determining the position and size of fissures and cracks and other damage relevant to the conservation of mechanical resistance and Stability of the building, b) To determine the state of the protective layer of reinforcement for concrete structures in moderately or highly aggressive environments, c) Determining the size of the deflection of the main structural elements of concrete construction in the case of basic action, if based on the visual inspection described insubparagraph a) doubt in fulfilling the essential requirement for mechanical resistance and Stability. G.3.4. The documents referred to in points G.3.2 and G.3.3 and other documents on maintaining concrete structures shall be permanently kept by the owner. G.4.
