Safe Work Procedure Title and basic description Use microscope Title: Description: examine microscope slides Associated risk assessment title and location: RA Working with electrical equipments 017 located in room 209B Describe the activity or process Switch on power button in front (OLYMPUS BH-2) or on the side (OLYMPUS CX40) of microscope. Place the slide on the stage. Focus the image by moving up and down the stage. Change magnification by using different objectives. Switch off the microscope, clean up the stage and objective with 70% alcohol if necessary. Put the plastic cover back on the microscope when finished.
