Welcome to Fuquay-Varina High School! As a member of our incoming freshman class,
you are now beginning your journey toward graduation. We want to help you make a
successful transition between middle school and high school. Please contact Jesse Brush,

Freshman Camp at Fuquay-Varina High School has been created as a special introduction to
the high school experience. During Freshman Camp, you will have the opportunity to:








Meet other incoming freshmen for our Class of 2019
Participate in Team Building Activities and Scavenger Hunt
Get your picture taken by Lifetouch for School IDs
Tour the School and join a Club or Organization at our Club Fair
Receive information about your Freshman Classes, Career Exploration Activity, Clubs,
Athletics, and other school programs such as Bengal Pride Student Advisory
Participate in a Question and Answer Session with Teachers and Upper Classmen
Make New Friends

Students should arrive by 8:30 for registration and pictures in the Main Gym.
Parent Orientation Meeting
During each session of our Freshman Camp, we will offer a Parent Orientation. Join us
for informational sessions in the auditorium and around campus to learn more about our
freshman classes, clubs and organizations, sports/athletics, student expectations, school
policies and requirements, bus information, and other helpful suggestions for your ninth
grade student. In addition, WCPSS Registration Forms will available for you to sign-up for
HOMEBASE. The parent orientation begins at 8:30 a.m. and will conclude at 10:00 a.m.
Refreshments and light snacks will be provided for your enjoyment by our PTSA – please join.
We need your help to ensure success for all students.
