Our sick bay is not able to cope with overwhelming numbers of children who need to rest or sleep, this area is allocated for first aid only. Preschool Enrolments for 2015 Preschool enrolments have commenced for 2015, online enrolments are being accepted this term. Proof of residency is also required for all enrolments in and out of area. Letters of placement offers will be sent home by the end of term. All students who live in the priority enrolment area or have siblings already attending this school are guaranteed a placement. Preschool sessions for 2015 are as follows: Monday, Tuesday (9am-3pm), Wednesday (9am-12noon) Wednesday (9am-12noon), Thursday, Friday (9am-3pm) A third session may be offered depending on the number of enrolments received. Canteen News Thank you for your ongoing support and commitment to keeping our canteen open. Please continue to donate ingredients and be aware that a board outside the front office displays products required. This is updated on a weekly basis. Also, be reminded that the canteen is closed on Mondays. Sibling Photos As a fundraiser for the school, The Portrait Gallery has taken sibling photos again this year and they are available from the front office for $5.00 Chaplains Corner Now that the weather is beginning to cool down, we expect that even more students will visit Breakfast Club on Fridays. Breakfast Club is for everyone. Some students have cereal at home and come in to have toast and milo. Others choose to stay in bed a little longer on Fridays and have their full breakfast at school. Still others (who are perhaps related to hobbits?), have a second breakfast at school. We are fortunate to have our bread for toast, cereal and milk all donated to the school. We particularly wish to thank Brother’s Oven at Homeworld which often donates croissants as well as bread. Breakfast Club is at 8.30am on Fridays and finishes just before 9.00am. It is easier for the volunteers at Breakfast Club if we don’t have a big rush of customers right when the bell is about to go, so please encourage your children to get to school in time to eat their breakfast. Remember all students are welcome at Breakfast Club. Exercises and dance routines are all choreographed to music and are designed to enhance flexibility, strength, agility, poise and deportment. Children especially benefit by improving their stamina, concentration, co-ordination and balance. We are an incorporated club and we try to keep costs low and offer 2 free lessons. New members are always welcome to come along and see if they would like to join our club. Classes are held here at Wanniassa School Junior Campus.
