Velti is an international provider of mobile marketing and advertising technology for brands,
advertising agencies, mobile operators and media groups.
IT Helpdesk Team Leader
Employed to improve and develop the helpdesk team of five staff, consisting of 1st and 2nd line
engineers in the London office by means of new technology and expertise with over 300 staff
onsite.
Responsibilities:
 Creation of reports and budgets for the purchase and rollout of new IT hardware and
software.
 Software image deployment for MAC and PC from operating system to application
software.
 Introduction and rollout of desktop and laptop encryption by means of sourcing and
researching before deployment.
 IT Support within the company, which included the Server Support, Server
Maintenance, Software Support and User Support.
 Supporting the global IT Director by taking charge when necessary with project work.
 Prioritising workloads, managing performance & ensuring regular reviews of the team.
 Escalation point for technical support engineers for server and network related queries.

I worked on the following project:
Encryption using Private Crypto SE
I was solely responsible for the sourcing and implementation of private crypto encryption
software in succession to Truecrypt, which was in use by the company when I joined. The
requirement was for an encryption system with centralised management, robust and effective
but affordable.
Achievements:
 Solely build and deployment of software image server with an introduction of a
standard build to be used by the entire U.K office within 2 months of employment
whilst supporting the helpdesk and carrying out day to day activities. This was a task
that should have taken months to complete but was initiated early due to perseverance.
 Successful rollout of encryption and antivirus across all laptops and desktops in the UK
office within the first two months of employment. This was alongside my day-to-day
activities but a top priority due to security and also helping the company achieve its
SOX policy.
 Overseeing an appointed move of staff from one London office to another due to
previous experience in office and staff moves thus saving the company significant
amount of money, time and workload were they to hire out a contractor.

Gyro is a private global marketing and advertising agency with offices covering nine time
zones. With clients such as Virgin Atlantic, Avaya and HP.
Network Systems Administrator
Originally employed as the assistant to the Group Technical Director, a role which grew into a
Network Systems Administrator responsible for a network with over 500 nodes and the support
of staff ranging through to the technical architecture of not only the UK office but other offices
in the EMEA region.
Responsibilities:
 Creation of reports and budgets for the purchase and rollout of new IT hardware and
software.
 Setting up / maintaining supplier agreement for office equipment, servers and services.
 Server support, building and maintenance. (Exchange, Windows and Mac)
 Switch configuration of VLANS for telephony and data network.
 Installing and maintaining computers and laptops, which included both hardware and
software builds on PC and MAC from OSX to Windows 7 and MS Office.
 Monthly and daily backups on the File Server and Mail Server as well as ensuring
backup tapes were taken offsite for safekeeping.
 IT Support within the company, which included the Server Support, Server
Maintenance, Software Support and User Support.
 Maintenance and support of the internal telephony system, creating extensions,
forwarding groups, email forwarding and event lines for client events.

The projects that I worked on are as follows:
1. Gyro Geneva to Paris move.
I was responsible for the move of operations from the office in Geneva to Paris. This involved
decommissioning servers, computers, printers and recommissioning them in the office in Paris.
There was also other infrastructure work such as ensuring the network was in place and up and
running, the servers were reconfigured and could be accessed by staff.

2. Set-Up of office in Madrid.
I was responsible for the setting up of the office in Madrid. This involved working with local
contractors to plan and implement the office network, telephone system. I was solely
responsible for configuring the server, switches and ensuring there was a direct tunnel from the
office in Madrid to the headquarters in London.
