I just take it one day at a time and try to play my best football, every single play, every single chance that I get out there. I’m okay with whatever I get at the end of the season – that’s always my form of success.” On players diving out on the field in the rain “Oh yeah, it was great. We have great guys in the locker room and I think we were just staying in there way too long. Going out there, getting the fans cheering and everything – we’ve got great fans here in Denver and it was great.” On being concerned about slipping “There’s always concerns about slipping in the rain. That’s part of the game. I loved it and we had a great time.” On the players’ slip-and-slide across the field “It was great. I didn’t know it was going to turn out like that but I looked around and everyone was sliding like penguins. I was like, ‘I might as well dive down there, too.’” On the rookies’ haircuts “I don’t think any of them were good. The worst one, I think, would have to be [DT] Sylvester Williams. He looked like one of the Whos from Whoville. He had the little hair on top. They’re going to cut them off today, so I’m glad we got a laugh out while we can.” On whether the players accomplished what they needed to in the practice “I think every time we go out there, we apply ourselves and we get it done. Playing in the rain, we might have to play in the rain sometime this season and I think it was great to go out there and play.” On getting encouragement from the fans “Like I said before, we’ve got great fans here. For everybody to stay in the rain while it’s pouring down, just to watch us go out and do a few plays, it was great. It was great to give back and sign autographs at the end.” On the pregame “It was great, walking out there for the pregame, feeling like a rock star. We’ve got great fans here in Denver and I’m just going to keep taking it one day at a time, trying to do great stuff for them.” On whether he should have been credited for a sack when he pressured Brock Osweiler “No, not against Brock. Brock’s my guy. I like quarterbacks and we’ve got to protect the quarterbacks. It was just getting one-on-one work with the offensive linemen. We went against the two’s today. It was great. I don’t have to get credit for sacks right here. I don’t have to get credit for sacks in all of the ones that we get. As long as we get wins, then I’m doing my job.” On returning to Sports Authority Field at Mile High “My last time being here wasn’t so good. Coming in here in the locker room, having positive vibes with all the guys and everybody’s happy, it was a great feeling to get going. We go to San Francisco next week and I think we’ll be ready.” On whether the team got what it needed out of practice “I think we definitely were able to get the work in. Every time we step on the field, we apply ourselves. I think playing in the rain was good for us because sometime we might have to play in the rain this season.”
