Jeju National University 19-01-2012 Dear Editors, Please find here enclosed a manuscript entitled “Immunomodulatory Acticivity of Panchgavya” by Paliwal et al., which we are submitting for publication in International Journal of Advances in Pharmaceutical Research (IJAPR). This manuscript has not been submitted to another journal and will not be published elsewhere within one year after its publication in this journal, and all authors have read the paper and none of the authors have a financial conflict of interest. Experiment using animals were done with the permission of institutional animal ethical committee of College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, MPPCVV, Jabalpur (M.P.). We demonstrated the immunomodulatory activity of Panchgavya (PG) against cyclophosphamide induced immunosuppression. Panchgavya is combination of five major substances obtained from cow that includes cow dung, urine, milk, curd and ghee.In this study, the animals treated with Panchgavya showed increased neutrophil adhesion test (percent), absolute lymphocyte count (per cumm of blood) and serum gamma globulin conc. (g/dl). These finding indicates immunomodulatory activity of Panchgavya on cyclophosphamide induced immunosuppression as evidenced by cell mediated and humoral immune responses. Thus, we believe that Panchgavya (PG) may have considerable potential as immunomodulator against various immune disorders. We hope that this manuscript is acceptable for publication in your peer reviewed journal.
