PERSON SPECIFICATION POST TITLE: Temporary Information/Data Input Officer (4 month contract) The requirements stated below relate solely to the duties and responsibilities laid out in the Job Description. CRITERIA METHOD OF ASSESSMENT KNOWLEDGE 1 Understanding of databases and on line directories and their A,I&E practical application 2 Understanding of requirements of databases/directories that deliver information to a range of partners and stakeholders (with ability to assess current provision and recommend ongoing improvements) 3 Understanding of the principles of confidentiality/data protection & A&I their practical implementation. 4 Understanding of the principles of Equality & Diversity and a A&I demonstrable commitment to incorporating into all aspects of work. SKILLS & ABILITIES 4 Good oral and written communication skills – sufficient to deal with A, I & E a wide range of internal (staff, volunteers, service users) and external sources (e.g. Data base provider, Camden Council channels, Age UK partners, care navigators, community connectors and other agencies) in order to ensure the database is up to date and accessible and manuals are produced to a high standard. 6 Excellent computer skills – databases/directories, keyboard, MS A, I & E Word, Excel and Outlook, networked environment – all essential 7 Good level of numeracy skills A, I 8 Willingness to be flexible within the team and prepared to work A&I flexible hours when the need arises 9 Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines in a busy A&I environment EXPERIENCE 10 Good level of experience of working with databases and on line A&I directories with accurate data entry and organisation of information 11 Good level of experience in communicating with and supporting key A & I partners and stakeholders in use of the on line directories as well as ensuring a good two way flow of information to keep the directory information up to date 12 Experience of provision of training and promotion of A, I & E databases/directories (including attending meetings with partners) QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING 14 No essential requirements for formal qualifications but IT/database A qualifications relevant to this post desirable. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 15 Ability to travel round the borough to different AUC/partner sites. A Sufficient fitness/strength to move minor office equipment desirable.
