Our six Kindergarten classes are filled with students learning how to hold their pencils and connect sounds with letters. Our first through sixth grade classes are full of students who are happy to be together again and enthusiastically look forward to the challenging curriculum they will master this year. As the state standardized test scores have officially been released, we are pleased to be rated as an “A” school by the Arizona Department of Education. In Mesa Public Schools, Franklin at Brimhall is tied for first place in highest academic achievement and student growth combined. This could only be achieved by our students who are guided by our fabulous teachers with the support of all of the parents. Paying attention to the small details like signing a homework slip and reinforcing penmanship, reading books outside of school, and poetry recitation makes all of the difference! Thank you! With gratitude, Mr. Abrams and Mrs. Osburn Stay Hydrated! The east campus entrance is for buses only. DROP-OFF AREA: PLEASE DO NOT DROP STUDENTS OFF BEFORE 8:00. The student drop-off area is located through the west entrance. Vehicles must drive to the back of the campus. Students should only exit cars in the area marked by the yellow painted curb. Areas with red curbs are not drop-off zones, except the fire access lane. It is very important that you let your children know how they will be getting home from school prior to the end of the day. A note to the teacher on your child’s homework slip is the most effective way of informing them. However, we do understand that emergencies occur and changes need to be made in plans. Please call the office prior to the last half hour of the day to relay messages in changes of transportation. Kindergarten students will exit vehicles and walk to the kinder playground located to the north of the drop-off area. Primary and Intermediate students will exit vehicles and walk to the playgrounds to the east and south of the drop-off area. Remember this is a KISS AND GO parent drop-off. Students should exit from the right side of the vehicle only. Parents should not exit the vehicles to walk students from the drop-off area. This will benefit everyone by keeping traffic moving smoothly and safely. PICK-UP AREA: The student pick-up area is located through the west entrance. Vehicles must enter through the west entrance, follow the traffic to the back, turn around, and continue to the pick-up area. This area is also marked by a yellow curb. Students should only enter vehicles on the right side. Parents should not exit vehicles to assist students. This will keep traffic moving smoothly and safely. FROM THE NURSE’S OFFICE: Donations of new packages of underwear sizes 4-7 would be greatly appreciated. Any gently used clothing that meets dress code would also be appreciated.
