METIS Solutions Awarded Contract to Provide Natural Resource Support Services to the
Task Force for Business and Stability Operations (TFBSO)

METIS Solutions, LLC announced today it has been selected as the prime contractor to provide
Natural Resource Support Services to the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) Task Force
for Business and Stability Operations (TFBSO) and their efforts to support the Afghan Ministry
of Mines and Petroleum as well as the Afghan Geological Survey. This contract is aimed at
creating economic opportunities for the people of Afghanistan by providing subject matter
expertise in the procurement of the country’s natural resources reserves.
Under the TFBSO contract, METIS will provide services that include small scale drilling
exploration programs, drill training and corresponding exploration exercises with the Afghan
people, artisanal mining training, village stability operations, a coal assessment, and information,
analysis, training, and research to Afghan government officials.
