Brush High School Morning Announcement Thursday, October 08, 2015 ALL SCHOOL: Homecoming Weekend 2015 will begin on Thursday October 15 th, with our assembly. Followed by our Parade and game on Friday, October 16th and end on Saturday, October 17th with our Homecoming Dance. Homecoming Packets are available in the Assistant Principal’s Offices Permission Slips to bring a Non-Brush Student as your guest are now available with Mrs. Jamieson in the Main Office. Homecoming Tickets are being sold during lunch periods. Please keep in mind if you are bringing a Non-Brush Student, they must be approved by Mr. Williamson before you can purchase your tickets. (10/13) Spirit Week Starts Monday please participate by wearing the following apparel in good taste and keep in mind the SEL Student Dress Code applies. Here we go! o Monday October 12th is Maui Monday; dress like your somewhere tropical! o Tuesday October 13th is Twin Day o Wednesday October 14th is Wacky day/ Nerd day o Thursday October 15th is Brush Gear Day Student Congress will begin decorating for Homecoming on Thursday, October 8, 2015 from 3:00-5:00 in B109. We will be decorating until the assembly on Thursday, October, 15, 2015. The Super Arcs should attend an informational meeting today, Thursday, October 8 in room B109. If you are in need of volunteer hours, please attend. (10/8) Student Congress is holding a Homecoming Balloon Competition. Each seminar class will receive garbage bags and balloons. The class that blows up the most balloons in the period will win a donut party sponsored by Student Congress. All of these balloons will be used as decorations for the Homecoming Assembly. The competition will take place on Tuesday, October 13, 2015. Seminar teachers will receive the balloons and the garbage bags in their mailboxes on Monday.(10/13) SuperArcs - Please attend the meeting after school today with Mr. Agrast to help decorate for homecoming. We will have our decorating meeting on Monday at 3pm in the cafeteria. Please have your shirt money to me by tomorrow or you will not be included on the first order. You can give the money to Mrs. Crane in the A-Wing Office. JOSTENS will also take Class Ring Orders during lunch periods on both Friday, October 9th and Thursday, October 15th (10/15) Soundsation Show Choir Band Attention band students! You have another chance to audition for Soundsation Show Choir Band. Auditions will take place on Monday, October 12th. We need drummer, saxophone, trombone, trumpet and electric guitar players. Do not miss out on the opportunity to work with our new show choir band director, Mr. Lewis. (10/22) Mark your calendar for the NHS Blood Drive on October 22. Students 16 and over can donate blood. Be a hero - your donation will save up to three lives! SPORTS: All students interested in bowling this winter there will be open bowling practice this Thursday Oct 8th from 4p-6p at the Game of Wickliffe, formerly named Freeway Lanes. The cost for the 2hrs of bowling will be $5 per student. You must provide your own transportation to & from the bowling alley. See coach Scott with any questions.(10/8) Attention all hockey players. There is a mandatory player and parent meeting on Tuesday October 13th at 7:30pm in room B113. This meeting is for anyone interested in playing Ice hockey during the upcoming winter sports season.
