Budget
 Elizabeth van den Bogert presented budget.
Fundraising
 Citrus sales closed. Almost as much as last year. Collected a lot of donations too. Doubled online
slaes. Will be charged the $100 drop charge. Looking at possible Saturday delivery 12/5 or 12/12.
Figuring out location.
 Heather will kick off Malleys on 11/11. Sale runs through Dec 13th. Recommend discontinuing spring
sale. Very little participation and too close to the Holiday Sale.
 Other fund raisers in the loop: spaghetti dinner, Piaida.
 Ten Thousand Villages/Liquid Planet fundraiser on 12/7
Marching Band
 Over until Memorial Day
 Need to start discussion/form committee to determine new uniform needs. Possibly new pants or
raincoats. Short in some sizes.
Tour






4 day trip to Nashville. Will include a HS exchange concert with Indian Hills in Cincinnati on the way to
Nashville.
Linda Elonen-Wright will be managing the tour. Anne Payne will be tracking payments.
Total cost $550. BOPO will cover $175.00 Student cost $375. Three payments: $50, $150, $175.
Tour forms submitted to go to Board for approval in December
Still working on Jazz tour. It’s been a challenge to find the right event at the right time.
Will schedule Parent Info meeting – quick one for those not familiar at 6:30 pm before December board
meeting
Program Book
 Request for senior messages is out
 Cost to produce book $2100. $850 received in ads so far. Another $525 in ads pledged.
Concert/Reception


All set for November 20th.
Reception and chamber groups will be set up in cafeteria.
Director’s Notes
 Chamber groups and jazz ensembles up and running
Next meeting December 8th.
Bulbs
 Orders due September 25.
Citrus








Natalie Jernigan will be helping Janet McGrath out.
Sale will run through October 30. Order must be submitted by November 13th.
Online sales available as well.
New items to sells this year: gift packs, mandarin oranges. Group agreed to add these additional items
to sale.
Will need parental assistance for door to door sales, which will be coordinated for 2-3 weekends on a
Saturday or Sunday. Will have student sign-up.
Will keep prices the same as last year.
If BOPO sells less than 500 boxes, there is a $100 fee for delivery
Will need to coordinate delivery time and location. Delivery could possibly be on a Saturday. If
Saturday delivery, could try to negotiate delivery fee waiver.
