SUMMER AT LANDMARK CENTER
ST. PAUL, MN – From concerts, to tours and exhibits, Landmark Center is the one-stop destination for all
of your summer fun. Whether you’re visiting from out of town or from your backyard, you’ll always find
something to do. So get out of the heat and explore everything Landmark Center has to offer! If you

Featured Events

Ramsey County Historical Society Research Center Grand Opening, June 10th from 4pm-6pm.
Enjoy improved comfort and service when the new RCHS Research Center opens. The new
space is in the lower level of Landmark Center and is four times larger than their current space.
Settle in to discover the history of your house, your neighborhood, and Ramsey County, by
exploring building permits, business and church records, and stories of those who lived here
since before Minnesota was a state.

Groove during your lunch hour! The popular lunchtime series, Music in the Café is back. Staged
on the atrium of the beautiful Musser Cortile and adjacent to Anita’s Café, the always popular
series features the diverse sounds of the Twin Cities best local artists. Performances are every
Wednesday through August at 12pm. Music in the Café is financed in part by Cultural Sale Tax
Revitalization Program and is proudly sponsored in part by VitaMN and KFAI radio.

Museums & Exhibits

The Gallery of Wood Art presents, Be Our Guest (June 1st - August 26th). A progressive
invitational featuring some of the best-known turners in the field…and a few of their closest,
most talented friends. The exhibit is free and open to the public. For more information please

Ramsey County Historical Society, in partnership with Culture Brokers, Inc., is pleased to
announce their current exhibit: They Played for the Love of the Game – Adding to the Legacy of
Minnesota Black Baseball. The exhibit (on display through August 20th) traces the history of the
Negro Baseball Leagues and African American players through present day in the Twin Cities.

Experience The Schubert Club Museum. The newly expanded museum takes visitors through
sequential exhibits, beginning with keyboard evolution and continuing to music boxes and
phonographs, Franz Schubert and the Austrian “lieder” and recital traditions, composer
manuscripts and experimental instruments. The museum is free and open to the public. For

Explore “Uncle Sam Worked Here” exhibit! An interactive, interpretive exhibit that gives
visitors a glimpse into federal courts, wartime activities, prohibition, immigration and more that
occurred in Landmark Center. Self-guided and guided tours are available during building hours.

Learn about the history of Landmark Center. A Landmark Reclaimed: from Federal Building to
Community Icon is an exhibit that chronicles the history of Landmark Center and the people
who made it the community building it is today.
Tours

Be a tourist in your own town! Rice Park Tours lead visitors on a historic and architectural tour
and takes you back in time to learn the hidden secrets of the unique buildings that surround one
of the city’s most beloved parks. Tours meet at Landmark Center’s Visitor Information Center at
10am on select Wednesdays through September. The tours are free but require a reservation.

Landmark Center offers a variety of public and specialized building tours for individuals, families,
schools and groups. Guided building tours are offered every Thursday at 11am and Sunday at

This charming corner store, tucked away in Landmark Center's first floor, features gifts, historical items,
jewelry, souvenirs, cards, glassware and much more. You can also purchase Landmark Center, Saint Paul,
and Minnesota merchandise including clothes, books, mugs, posters, notecards, postcards and more!

Anita’s Café
Anita's Café is a perfect place to drop in for breakfast or lunch! Enjoy award-winning Chef Jeff's tasty
culinary creations in the historic ambiance of Landmark Center Monday through Friday from 7:30am to

West 5th Street, facing Rice Park, next to the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts and The Saint Paul
