Charity Performance and Disco
Chloe Davies and Lauren McGeown who are current dance students at the school and
assistant teachers are organising and putting together a charity performance and disco. At the
Rubery Social Club on Sunday 1st November 2:00pm-5:30pm. Chloe and Lauren are
trying to raise money for The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital. This is an important cause and something very close to Chloe’s heart. At the
Orthopaedic Chloe had major back surgery, which meant she was unable to dance for a year. Due to the expertise of the doctors and nurses at
the hospital Chloe is now recovered and back at dancing and she would like to give something back to the hospital. I have very happily agreed
for the dance school to support this event to help raise as much money as possible. Please see below the ways that you can get involved:
1) If you have any prizes you could donate for the raffle please hand them to Chloe, Lauren or me
2) I have agreed for some classes to perform their exam pieces in the performance part of the evening. Unfortunately not all classes will have a
suitable dance for this venue. The below classes will be performing at the event:
- Thursday Street 4:30pm – Thursday RnR – Thursday Musical Theatre – Thursday Contemporary -Thursday Freestyle – Thursday
Street
- Sat 8:45am Ballet – Sat 9:15am Freestyle – Sat 11:15am Freestyle – Sat 12:15pm Freestyle – Sat 2:15pm Cheer/RnR – Sat 3:15pm
Cheer
- If you would like to choreograph something for the show yourself and perform it or you have another act you want to put in the
performance (e.g. singing, acting, magic) please see Chloe and Lauren
If your child is in one of the above classes and you want them to perform at this event please place your child’s name on the sign-up sheet on
the notice board at dancing. Your child will need to wear their normal class uniform to perform in and on the day you will need to drop them off
at 1pm for a quick rehearsal before doors open at 2:00pm
3) If your child is performing in the event and there under the age of 14yrs they will need at least one adult to purchase a ticket and attend the
event. As after they have danced the dance school will be unable to supervise them for the disco part. If your child is not performing in the event
you are still welcome to attend, watch the show and enjoy the disco. Hopefully lots of people will purchase a ticket as all ticket sales go towards
the charity.
Ticket Prices
Adult (18yrs+) £4
Children (up to 18yrs) £3.50
Under 3yrs free
If you are performing in the show it is free
How do you get tickets?
Please place the correct money in an envelope and write the amount of tickets you
want on the front. Please place just your ticket money in an envelope DO NOT
mix it with dance fees. This envelope will be passed to Chloe who will get your
tickets ready and I will hand them out in class
